News: In response to the recent outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus disease, we have decided to postpone NIRItalia2020 to February 24-25, 2021. The organizers’ main concern is to guarantee the health of everyone involved, ensure a high level of scientific contribution and social interaction among participants. We do hope that the new dates fit your schedule and you will be able to join the conference next year.

SISNIR also issued a call to finance ten scholarships for PhD students and postdoctoral fellows, which can be accessed here.

It has been brought to our attention that a service provider has contacted participants, citing NIRITALIA Conference, to offer hotel reservation services.
To be clear, this company and others ARE NOT IN ANY WAY affiliated to NIRITALIA, and are NOT authorised to use our name or the name of the hotels.

The Italian Society for Near Infrared Spectroscopy (SISNIR), in collaboration with the InnoRenew CoE and University of Primorska, is pleased to announce that the 9th National Symposium of NIR Spectroscopy (NIRITALIA 2020) will be held from 24 to 25 February 2021.

For the first time in the history of SISNIR, the biennial National Symposium (a reference event in Italy for all professionals working with NIR spectroscopy) will be held in the halls of the University of Primorska (Koper, Slovenia).

A day before the Symposium (23 February), Pre-courses on Hyperspectral Imaging, Chemometrics, and equipment hands-on training will be available.

The 9th National Symposium will bring together important players from the world of research and industry and allow them to socialize thanks to events designed to create productive networks of collaboration:

gala dinner at a restaurant in Piran (24 February), and
visit to the Škocjan Caves, listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List (26 February).

With regard,

Monica Casale
President of SISNIR
