Dr. José Manuel Amigo
Born in 1978. He obtained his PhD (Cum Laude) in Chemistry from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. Since 2007 he has been employed at the Department of Food Science of the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, as Associate Professor. During 2017 he is, at the same time, Guest Professor of the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil. Current research interests include hyperspectral and digital image analysis. He is Ikerbasque Research Professor now. Working at the Department of Analytical Chemistry of the University of the Basque Country, Spain. He is in charge of AVITech – Artificial Vision Technologies research environment.
He has authored more than 160 publications (115+ peer-reviewed papers, books, book chapters, proceedings, etc.) and given more than 60 conferences and courses at international meetings. Jose has supervised or is currently supervising several Masters, Post Docs and PhD students and he is an editorial board member of four scientific journals within chemometrics, pharmaceutical sciences and analytical chemistry. Moreover, he received the “2014 Chemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems Award” for his achievements in the field of Chemometrics and the “2019 Tomas Hirschfeld Award” for his achievements in the field of Near Infrared.
Dr. Ingunn Burud
Ingunn Burud has a PhD in Astrophysics (2001) from The University of Liege, Belgium.
Her current position is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. Burud has published more than 50 articles in peer review journals, including Science and Nature (h-index: 25). Her current research is focused on image analysis, spectral imaging, multivariate data and machine learning.
She analyses hyperspectral and multispectral images from laboratory and from outdoor airborne field measurement from plane and UAV.
